Kilia in Odesa is preparing backup power for apartment buildings for the winter.

In Kiliya, in the Odesa region, preparations are underway for backup power for apartment buildings that do not have alternative heating. Powerful generators will provide electricity through the "DTEK Odesa Networks" grid, in the event that a prolonged power outage makes it impossible to quickly restore supply. They are planned to be used only at low temperatures and according to the decision of the emergency response commission.

In Kilia, in the Odesa region, preparations are being made for possible prolonged power outages during the winter. For multi-story buildings that rely on a stable electricity supply and do not have alternative heating, it is planned to provide backup power from powerful generators.

According to the plan, the generators could supply electricity to homes through the networks of PJSC "DTEK Odesa Power Networks" if a prolonged power outage cannot be quickly resolved.

Backup sources will only be used in critical situations – when the outside temperature is low, and according to a decision by the Commission for Technological and Ecological Safety and Emergency Situations. This mechanism is intended to support residents during prolonged outages and to maintain internal building systems.
