Autumn holidays in Odesa will begin October 26

Autumn holidays in Odesa will begin on October 26 in almost all schools. Only the Primorsky Lyceum decided to postpone the autumn break to the winter period. The schedule of holidays is determined by each educational institution independently in the region. In 270 schools in 50 communities in the region, the decision was made to forgo autumn holidays in favor of a three-week winter break.

The autumn holidays in Odesa will begin on October 26 in the 119 municipal educational institutions, with the exception of the Primorsky Lyceum, which has postponed its autumn break to the winter period.

There is no single date for the start of autumn holidays in schools in the Odesa region, as the schedule for the school year is determined independently by each educational institution. According to the director of the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa Oblast, Alexander Lonchak, autumn holidays will begin on October 26 in 343 schools in the 41 community of the region.

In 270 schools in 50 communities of Odesa region, the decision was made to forgo the autumn holidays, with students in these schools instead taking a three-week break during the winter. In the Black Sea, students are scheduled to have a one-week break from school in November.

Alexander Lonchak stated that the Department of Education recommended that schools consider postponing holidays or extending winter breaks so that students could attend classes in person during warmer weather. He also noted that the deadlines for autumn breaks could be revised if the situation with security, water supply, or power supply deteriorates, as determined by the Commission for Technological and Ecological Safety and Emergency Situations.
