A court in Odesa sentenced three women, who ran brothels, to 5 years in prison with a probationary period ranging from 2 to 3 years. All three women pleaded guilty.
They found work online: answering calls and arranging meetings with clients. At least 13 sex workers worked in the two brothels. The cost of the services was 1200–1500 hryvnias per hour, with organizers receiving half of the revenue. The administrators were paid 800–1000 hryvnias per day.
One of the convicted women now works as a sniper and raises two children. Assets and money linked to the brothel activities were confiscated.
