In Odesa, the Kyiv District Court issued a verdict against a military serviceman who admitted to accepting a bribe.

According to the case materials, a senior soldier, who was in charge of administrative affairs, offered to help another soldier obtain a transfer to a marine infantry battalion in Odesa in exchange for money at the beginning of March 2026. In addition, he promised to influence the decision of the military medical commission regarding the soldier's fitness for service in support, logistics, communication, and other units. According to the prosecution, the transfer was intended to help the soldier avoid criminal liability for the incident.

March 13 men met near a residential complex in Odesa, where the accused stated the amount of the reward — 6,8 thousand dollars. March 16 he received the money at the parking lot of the same residential complex, after which he was detained by law enforcement.

In court, the man fully admitted his guilt. As a result, he was found guilty of receiving a bribe to influence a public official's decision and was fined 510 thousand hryvnias. The verdict can be appealed within 30 days from the date of announcement.
