In Odesa, a conscript from the Territorial Defense Forces (TDC) was shot in the neck while working with an alerting group. The police reported that a man was arrested, and the regional TDC confirmed that he was arrested directly at the scene.

According to the Odesa Oblast TCC, on October 20, military personnel and National Police officers worked together at a checkpoint. They discovered a vehicle, driven by someone who was attempting to flee and caused a traffic accident.

The agency states that after the vehicle was stopped, the driver's identity was established, and it was found that he was wanted for violating military accounting regulations. According to the recruitment center, the man actively resisted, injured a soldier in the neck with an object resembling a knife, and then attempted to run over him with his car.

The injured person survived. They were hospitalized and received the necessary medical care, and are now under the supervision of doctors.

Witnesses on social media reported that the incident occurred the day before near the "Sovinyon" residential area. According to preliminary unofficial information, the detainee is 44 years old.

Law enforcement officials are conducting investigative actions to determine the legal qualification of the offense and decide on the criminal liability of the detained individual.

A similar incident occurred in May of this year in the Savran community of the Podilsky district: a man, who was being sought for violating military registration rules, inflicted numerous knife wounds on members of the Territorial Defense Forces (TTC). Previously, verdicts were also issued in Odesa against nine participants of TTC alerting groups for illegal detentions and torture of men.
