Magnetic storms October 25: What can be expected by sensitive residents of Odesa
On Sunday, October 25, a moderate increase in the Kp index is expected, reaching 3,67, which does not reach the level of a geomagnetic storm. However, due to the switch to winter time and changes in biological rhythms, people sensitive to weather may experience mild discomfort. Doctors advise to maintain a regular sleep schedule, drink more water, go for walks in the fresh air, and keep necessary medications on hand.
According to the Space Weather Prediction Center (NOAA/SWPC), on Sunday, October 25, solar activity will slightly increase compared to the previous day. During the day, the Kp-index will reach a value of 3,67.
The Kp index of 5 or higher indicates the beginning of a significant geomagnetic storm, so on October 25, the Earth's magnetosphere will remain in a safe zone. However, due to the combination of two factors – geomagnetic fluctuations and the change in clock hands – sensitive individuals may experience mild discomfort.
Doctors advise individuals sensitive to weather changes to maintain a regular sleep schedule to allow their bodies to adjust to the new time. They also recommend drinking more water, limiting the consumption of strong coffee, alcohol, and energy drinks, and replacing them with herbal teas. A light walk in the fresh air will help normalize blood pressure and reduce stress levels.
People with chronic cardiovascular diseases should monitor their blood pressure and have necessary medications on hand.
