Package burned at "Nova Poshta": how to get compensation

Due to Russian strikes, "Nova Poshta" parcels may be burned or damaged. According to lawyer Yevhen Morozov, the company will compensate for the declared value of the destroyed shipment and return the delivery fee. Usually, the money goes to the sender, but the buyer may be an exception.

To receive compensation, it is necessary to document the damage and file a claim. The press service of "Nova Poshta" assures that in the event of the destruction of parcels, they contact the clients directly and provide instructions on further actions.

Lawyer Yevhen Morozov emphasizes that the public agreement with "Nova Poshta" places the responsibility on the company for the safekeeping of property from the moment it is received until it is delivered to the recipient. The declared value of the package can range from one million hryvnias for shipments weighing up to 30 kg, and up to 5 million for heavier shipments. For valuable packages, "Nova Poshta" may require proof of value documents for the shipped item.

Company representatives confirm that in the event of a package being destroyed due to enemy shelling or fire, there will be no compensation. However, if the package is only partially damaged, the amount of the loss will be calculated individually for each case.
